What we’ve planned:
Toddler Takeover
Regular Friday sessions
10am-11:30am
Little ones are invited to discover the Synagogue through sensory play, music, songs, and stories in a relaxed and friendly environment.
Each week features a cosy story time with one of our museum volunteers, plenty of opportunities to explore, and comfortable floor seating where children can learn, play, and connect at their own pace.

Make It! Time Capsules
Wednesday, 29 July
10:30-12pm or 1-2:30pm
Inspired by one of our museum’s most extraordinary discoveries, join us to design your very own time capsule!
All ages welcome. Bring along a favourite photo or small trinket to include, and we’ll provide the capsule, newspapers, craft materials and everything else you need to leave your own message for future generations!
Make It! Bourekas
Thursday, 6 August
10:30-11:30am or 1-2pm
Join us for a hands-on baking workshop where we’ll be learning how to make the delicious Sephardi pastry, Boureka! We’ll have a variety of delicious vegetarian savoury fillings for you to use to make your bourekas your very own. Come and bake with us for a day of delicious learning and tasty treats!
Bake It! Babka
Thursday, 20 August

Discover the rich traditions behind this Ashkenazi Jewish delicacy with its roots in Poland and Western Ukraine. As our babkas bake, we’ll dive into some fascinating stories from the museum’s collection. You’ll get to take your babka home with you, along with the recipe to make it for all your friends and family.
