A Month of
Yiddish Music
at the Museum

Klez-march!

This March, we’re filling the museum with the joyful, and deeply expressive sounds of klezmer.

Klezmarch brings together three special events that explore the music’s many voices – from the lively, hands-on energy of Klezmer Tune Club and KlezJam, where musicians of all abilities can join in, to Yiddish Revolutionaries: A Forgotten History, uncovering the radical roots of Yiddish song and activism, and Anna Lowenstein: Through the Walls, weaving an intimate portrait of a community, people, and history.

Join us for a month of rhythm, history and connection, as klezmer echoes through our museum spaces.

PROGRAMME

Klezmer Tune Club & Klezjam

Klezmer Tune Club brings together musicians, of any level, background, or instrument, to explore tunes from the rich klezmer tradition. Richard Fay and Daniel Mawson will take you on a musical journey through klezmer’s fascinating history and work with you on a new musical piece. Join us to play, or simply listen and mingle. All are welcome.
