Synagogue Nights

Manchester Jewish Museum will once again be celebrating Jewish music and art with our new season of Synagogue Nights: intimate performances in our stunning 1874 Synagogue. From the mellow sounds of jazz and entertaining comedy shows to the greatest of classical hits, we are showcasing Jewish art in all its diversity.

Going Deutsch

A one-woman comedic show about relationships, inherited trauma and how much the past shapes the future. Should you ever go back to someone, or something, that almost destroyed you? What if they're sorry? What if they say they've changed? What if they're offering an EU passport?

Emma Smith

One of the greatest voices of the contemporary UK jazz scene. Her recent album, Meshuga Baby, is a nod to her Jewish heritage. The Yiddish word ‘Meshuge’ means ‘crazy’ - a judgment that Smith describes as “so often passed on brave ambitious women that are not afraid express their opinions and showcase their talent.”

Pickle

A hilarious one-woman show about a young Jewish woman caught between two worlds.
