Celebrate Chanukah with us!
Join us on Sunday, 14 December, for a fun-filled day of Chanukah celebrations for the whole family! From 12pm to 3pm, the museum will come alive with creative, hands-on activities perfect for visitors of all ages.
Learn about the Chanukah miracle and celebrate with us through games and crafts. Make your own colourful clay Chanukiah or dreidel, and mould your own chocolate coins to play dreidel with!
Your tickets include entry to the museum so you’ll also have the chance to explore our fascinating galleries and step inside our beautiful Spanish & Portuguese synagogue. Families can also try out our Activity Backpacks to help your little ones explore the history of Jewish Manchester.
Come and share the light of Chanukah with us!
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
You are welcome to visit us anytime during our opening hours (10am-5pm with last entry at 4pm). Chanukah activities will run from 12pm to 3pm.
All activities happening on the day are drop-in and open to all ages. When spaces fill up, we will encourage you to have a look around the museum and come back for the activity at a later time.
Please note that we use vegetarian kosher approved ingredients but the food is not Beth Din supervised. We will have kosher chocolate available on request.
Our museum Cafe will be open for food and drinks as usual.
We will have guides on side to answer any questions you may have about the stories on the gallery.
