Join us on the first and last Sunday of every month for some hands-on crafting and baking fun!

During each “Make It” session, you will have the opportunity to try a different food, music or craft-based activity, inspired by the museum’s collection. Roll up your sleeves and relax your mind as we bake, write, paint and get creative together!

This session is inspired by beautiful embroidery samplers from our collection. They were created by sisters Rachel and Florrie Cornofsky, whose family travelled from Lithuania to Manchester in the 19th century.
Join us to discover the rich social and cultural history of needlework! Get inspired by the Cornofsky’s beautiful patterns and decorate your own fabric badge. Beginners and experts are all welcome – this is a space for everyone to relax and be creative!

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

These workshops are open to all age groups. All children must be supervised by an adult. We welcome all, individuals, families and friends.

Younger children will have access to safe plastic needles and binca mesh. (Beginners of all ages are also welcome to start with these materials!)

Attendance is included in general admission, so you will also get a chance to explore the museum and café. Families can also try out one of our family backpacks!

Please contact Maddie with any questions, dietary requirements or allergies prior to the workshop at maddie@manchesterjewishmuseum.com.
