This year our friends at Central Library are celebrating all things Cheetham! As part of the Cheetham Cultural Festival, Central Library is hosting an open day on Saturday 21st September 1-4pm. There will be archive handling sessions, family activities and behind the scenes tours. Our pop-up museum space will have the story selector up and running including a return visit from storyteller extraordinaire Robin Simpson! Teiglach for Cheetham

Teiglach for Cheetham As part of the Cheetham Cultural Festival 2019 we will be giving out sweet Jewish treats (teiglach) at Manchester Fort shopping centre. Teiglach are a traditional Jewish treat for Jewish New Year (Rosh Hashanah). The teiglach will contain messages of kindness from the Cheetham community including groups at Heathlands and The Nicky. Join us for the hybrid talk / performance  led by academic and artist Stav Meishar. Stav will discuss the lives of Jewish circus artists during Nazi regime, their legacies and their fates, as well as the process of transforming real stories into stage work.
