Dark Room by Helena Tomlin

March 7 - March 14

An installation exploring the anonymous photographs in the museum’s collection, the darkroom is a place to come face to face with the people in our archive that we know nothing about and help us to create a caring response to those whose stories have been lost.

The installation will be on display in the Museum’s Pop-up space on the Lower Ground Floor of Central Library during the festival. It is free to come and explore. It will feature photographs and responses to the project made by Helena and members of the public. There will be books to read and small sculptures to enjoy.

If you would like to meet artist Helena she will be in the pop-up space between 12-1pm on Saturday 7th March. Why not stay for the 2pm storytelling performance with Robin Simpson afterwards!
