Do you like to get creative at home? Whether that’s making cartoons, furniture, pottery, prints, fabrics, or clothes? Then we have the group for you!

‘The Crafty Corner’ is a space where you get to explore, experiment, and express your creative side. In every workshop we explore a story from the museum’s collection about a trade or craft and create an artistic response to its themes, craft process or medium.

During our April session, we will be creating decorative pennant banners to hang in our beautiful synagogue for our 150th Anniversary open day! Expect fabric, paints, tassels and an array of decorations to embellish the banners and help us decorate the museum for this celebratory event.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

This group is open to anyone over the age of 18, and to all identities, backgrounds, and cultures. Don’t worry if this is your first-time making crafts, we welcome beginners and seasoned pros – and believe in the power of supporting one another in getting creative!

The workshop is 1 hour and 30 minutes long and there will be refreshments provided.

If you have any additional needs, please contact Elly elly@manchesterjewishmuseum.com so we can best support.
