Join us for some swirly, twirly, colourful marbling art!

Discover why Chanukah is sometimes called the ‘Festival of the Miracle of Oil’ and how oil is used in the celebrations; from food recipes to beautiful, coloured lights for menorahs.

Inspired by the use of oil in Chanukah, we will be using oil-based marbling paints to design our very own tote bags, paper and cards. Try out different patterns and funky colour combinations.

Our Sunday workshops are open to children and adults alike and are inspired by Jewish traditions and the museum’s collections. Bring a friend, your family or even a date and enjoy baking together in our new learning kitchen.

No experience necessary – perfect for crafty beginnings.

What you need to know

The workshops are at 11am and 12.30pm and last approximately one hour. Tickets include general admission to the museum and annual pass admission is accepted.

Designed for ages 6+ but all ages welcome – perfect for friends, families and even dates! Children must be supervised.

We recommend booking in advance as our Sunday activities often get fully booked.
