Return of Manchester’s Musical Son
Graham Gouldman of 70’s rock band 10CC will be returning to his roots in North Manchester on Sunday June 14th, when he will perform for an intimate audience of 400 people at the Hilton Suite in Prestwich.
The man behind some of the greatest music of the 70's and 80's, Graham Gouldman, of legendary rock band 10CC, will be revealing how it all began when he plays live, accompanied by Mick Wilson, for the neighbourhood he grew up in. At an exclusive community concert, in aid of a local museum, Gouldman will relate previously untold stories of how his stardom began. He will recall his teenage years growing up in North Manchester and the early breaks that lead to worldwide fame.
Those of us who were students in the days of big hair and flares will remember 10CC for such songs as I’m Not in Love, Rubber Bullets, Donna, Life is a Minestrone, Dreadlock Holiday, The Things we do for Love and many more.
Those of us who lived in North Manchester will also remember Graham as a teenager growing up with his other members of the band. Their musical passion developed as they first played locally at the Jewish Lads Brigade.
