Jewish Genealogical Society Of Great Britain
Sunday, 7th December 2008 at the Manchester Jewish Museum 2.00pm to 4.30pm
Michael Hoffman, the Regional Group Co-ordinator of the JGSGB and up until recently Editor of the JGSGB quarterly Newsletter, will be coming to Manchester to give us a talk on researching Polish records.   Michael will describe his own research and how he found his family records in the Polish archives. He will bring with him samples of his research and will be happy to answer questions.  There will be on display books from our own library that relate to this subject matter, and also samples of Polish documentation. In addition, we have compiled a binder with samples of Polish script, a Polish genealogical vocabulary list with English translation, and other translation aids.
As always, members attend free of charge but there will be a charge payable to the MJM for non-members.
Tea and coffee will be available.
