On Sunday 17th March come with us on a walking tour of Cheetham Hill.
We meet outside Manchester Jewish Museum at 1:00pm.
From here you will be guided around the old Jewish Quarter of Cheetham Hill. The tour takes in sites which were once an important part of daily life in the Jewish community. Though the community has now migrated to other parts of Manchester, every synagogue and Jewish institution of the present day has its roots in Cheetham Hill. The tour brings to life the difficult living and working conditions that Jews and non-Jews of the area struggled through in order to better themselves.
Our guide will captivate you with tales and anecodotes, bringing to life the characters and institutions of former times.
And you can also find out how world history was made here in Cheetham Hill.
