Discover and taste the delights of kosher food in the historic setting of Manchester Jewish Museum.
Learn about the history of kosher food whilst sampling over 10 different kosher dishes, each one with a different story to tell. You will sample many of the kosher dishes served at Jewish festivals and on the Jewish Sabbath. There will be dishes originating from Russia to the Middle East, including hameen eggs, Moroccan style chicken tangine and traditional chicken soup. A kosher chef will prepare each tasting dish while Museum staff will explain why the food is eaten, where the dish comes from, and even suggest tips on re-creating it at home.
