The Sharing Stories project is about connecting people with the past.
Manchester Jewish Museum can provide stimulating and enjoyable reminiscence sessions for older people through museum memory boxes, picture packs and exhibition stands.
There are 5 themes to choose from:
- Home Life
- Work and Play
- Teenage Years
You can borrow a museum memory box, picture pack and small exhibition stand on each of the themes above.
We can also deliver interactive reminiscence sessions using museum objects and images.
Until March 2015 we can provide all these resources free of charge.
Who can borrow the resources?
Any organisation working with older people can use the boxes, packs and stands. Some of the resources relate to Jewish life and so would be of particular interest to older Jewish people. The resources can be used effectively by any group, regardless of faith, tradition or culture.
How do I book the resources?
The Sharing Stories resources are available from Manchester Jewish Museum for up to 1 month at a time.
To book a reminiscence session, museum memory box, picture pack or exhibition stand please contact Rose Stanyon, Project Manager on 0161 834 9879 or e-mail email@example.com
The Sharing Stories project is being run in partnership with Manchester’s largest Jewish social care organisation, The Fed (Federation of Jewish Services).
