Acclaimed percussionist Renu joins the Sacred Sounds Women’s Choir as they return to Manchester Jewish Museum following an unforgettable performance at November’s Video Jam. Surround yourself with joyous harmonies in an immersive aural experience within the beautiful surroundings of the historic Museum.
Created in 2013 as part of the creative programme for the Manchester International Festival, the vibrant 50 strong Sacred Sounds Women’s Choir aim to promote peace, compassion and understanding through song, soundscaping and silence.
Joining them for this very special performance is Berlin based percussionist, Renu. A multi-percussionist, composer and songwriter, Renu has worked with a spectrum of renowned artists including Grace Jones, State of Bengal, Fun-Da-Mental and Alabama 3.
Afternoon tea is served alongside cakes from the historic Titanics Deli to complete a delicious mix of international sounds and flavours. Tickets include tea or coffee and 2 slices of cake per person, served from 1:15pm, before the event and during the interval.
