“One part Alf Garnett, two parts Mel Brooks and three parts like nothing you ever heard” (The Guardian)
“Simply my favourite comedian” (Harry Hill)
The legend that is Sol Bernstein escaped the Pogroms in Russia, the Nazis in Germany, and went on to become the World’s 1st all-round entertainer. He’s a song and dance man, a comedian, a magician, an actor, a Jazz musician (Sol was rated “BEST TRIANGLE” player in the USA in the 50’s by performers like Louis Armstrong and Duke Ellington ). Also rated the best impersonator EVER !!
He’s performed all over the world at venues including The London Palladium, New York’s Carnegie Hall, The Paris Olympia, and Caesars Palace Las Vegas. He’s also a regular performer at The Sydney Comedy Festival. but it’s at night clubs where Sol really comes to life. His charisma, his style, his chutzpah, put it all together and you see the magic that is Sol Bernstein.
He’s the man who helped the career’s of Elvis Presley and Marcel Marceau (and never even got a “Thank you”) and even the Beatles were influenced. He’s worked with, and been friends with, some of the worlds GREATEST performers, Elvis, Judy Garland, The Rat Pack, Lenny Bruce, Jack Benny, George Burns, Milton Berle.
The man is in his 80’s and still performs at all the top UK clubs – and now museums!
“It’s high time someone gave him a TV show of his own!” (The Guardian)
Talented award-winning writer and stand-up, Mark Maier, is an established and highly sought after performer on both the national and international comedy circuits. He has worked the comedy clubs of Germany, Holland, Ireland, Hong Kong, The Bahamas, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand and has also appeared at The Comedy Store in Los Angeles and Caroline’s in New York. Amongst his many credits, Mark has taught and performed improvisation with Catherine Tate in London and has had a string of successful radio series, in which he both wrote and performed in.
Steve Best is a great visual comedian, harnessing a mind-boggling array of gadgets and gags to keep his audience in stitches. His unique form of slapstick comedy is backed up with astounding talent; he plays the guitar like a genius, can juggle 5 balls, ride a uni-cycle and is fluent in Serbo-Croatian.
Steve has performed his unique style of comedy all over the world and has played in near enough damn it every comedy club in Britain. He has supported Frank Skinner, Craig Charles and Omid Djalili on huge nationwide tours. Steve has many TV credits including, The Stand-Up Show (BBC1), The Big Stage (C5), and more recently twice on The Slammer (CBBC).
ADAM BLOOM will not be performing, as originally advertised, but we’re hoping to see his act at MJM soon.
