12th December - CONCERT: Klezmer Music for Chanukah

Klezmer Concert  Wednesday 12th December 7:30pm

As part of our Chanukah celebrations we are delighted to present an evening of Klezmer music. Students from the Music Department at The Manchester University make up the talented musicians in the “Michael Kahan Kapelye” and  "The Manchester Simcha Quartet”.

As the nights get darker and colder join us for an evening of music that is sure to brighten your mood and put a spring back in your step.

Michael Kahan Kapelye is an ensemble named after Michael Kahan, a Manchester-based klezmer musician who was tragically killed a few years ago in random street attack.

The Manchester Simcha Quartet, perform traditional Klezmer with a twist . Steeped in tradition whilst making room for interests in improvisation, composition and jazz, the band’s performances have gained popularity throughout the northwest.
